66wtr / reconstruction / singapore / completed 2013

a semi-detached house designed to be detached partially from its shared wall, creating an intimate garden courtyard that the house opens itself to. the exterior of the house is cladded with aluminium panels and natural teak, which defines the public zones of living and family on the first and third storey respectively, from the private rooms on the second storey. additional teak planks were used on the second storey as privacy screens from the street and the neighbour.
